GEM #1 — Claude Code cache bugs silently 10-20x your API costs

Someone reverse-engineered the Claude Code standalone binary and found two independent cache-breaking bugs. The standalone binary has a native string replacement baked into its Bun fork that can corrupt your cache prefix — causing full rebuilds on every request instead of cache hits. The /cost slash command also double-counts token usage. 190 upvotes on r/ClaudeAI.

Workaround: Run via npx @anthropic-ai/claude-code instead of the standalone binary.

Angela's angle: This is exactly the kind of thing Oguzhan has firsthand exposure to. A short tweet — "ran Claude Code API costs through the roof and didn't know why for a week, turns out there's a cache bug in the standalone binary — use npx instead" — is specific, credible, and immediately useful. You have standing here.

Action: tweet now

GEM #2 — Vibe coding is marketing, not engineering

@miqchris making the point that vibe-coded apps are "prototypes with good distribution" — the real winners combine vibe coding + technical depth + distribution.

Angela's angle: Oguzhan has the receipts. He's the senior engineer who actually debugs the edge cases at 2am. The angle isn't "vibe coding is bad" — it's "I've been the person who inherits vibe-coded apps and the real cost shows up 3 months later." That's a more specific, more credible version of what @miqchris is saying.

GEM #3 — ASO + AI is massively underused by indie devs

@saen_dev: "Most devs obsess over features and forget that discoverability is the real bottleneck for app growth."

Also: Dock 3.0 launched on Product Hunt — an ASO + Growth Manager tool with Claude AI integration.

Angela's angle: Odak is exactly the test case here. Oguzhan has a live app, real ASO data, and Claude Code in his workflow. "I've been running ASO experiments on Odak with Claude Code — here's what actually moved the needle" is a thread that writes itself and positions him as a practitioner, not a commenter.

Action: save — build into an Odak build-in-public thread this week

GEM #4 — Do people actually create demand, or just find people who already care?

r/startups thread: most brands fail because they try to convince everyone instead of finding the small group who already cared.

Angela's angle: This is the marketing question Oguzhan is living right now with Odak. The Pomodoro space is crowded. The question isn't "how do I get more people to care about focus apps" — it's "who already cares about this specific thing and where are they." Worth internalizing before the next Odak marketing push.

Action: save — inform Odak positioning strategy
